she tells a story of Digital Construction

Epilogue
Aleya's
Thank you so much for making it all the way here. You have reached the end! (which ironically resembles that of a cover letter).
Above, you'll see that my Creative Resume is posted for your viewing. Although, this digital creation has has been my primary creative outlet for the last few years, it also intends to act as my portfolio website. I love graphic design and am sharing this with the world as my own way to re-introduce myself to the industry.
I began slowly developing my portfolio website about 2 years ago. Slowly but surely I kept trekking on but at that time, my main priority was my career in the Event Industry. Following college graduation I worked full time as a Event Coordinator and Venue Manager at a historical venue in Chicago. I loved my life on that path, but every day further away from my graphic design dream had me itching to push my way back. After 4 years, I followed that instinct and made my way into the light that my intuition guided me towards. I quit my job and decided to dedicate this past Summer/fall 2026 to lift this site from the ground up. And now we're here. 2 years later, "unemployed" and putting every ounce of my being into a career I've mentally pictured myself in since I was a girl.
So welcome/Thanks for coming. Everything you've seen here is a reflection of my own creative process and journey throughout my transition into full time graphic design field. My heart and soul have been poured into this and I hope that you've gathered that <3 What's mine is yours.
Truly, I've loved every minute of it and will continue to do so as I further develop and create within the world of Deer. Although my initial intention was a portfolio website, as I edited on, it became so much more than that. My fingertips begged to create something new. My mind scratched at my eyes until tears burst through - those tears holding the script of something painful and fresh. I needed to write. I needed to start over and I needed to start again. So I did. Over and over and over again I edited everything. It was entirely frustrating holding myself within the parameters of a Portfolio so instead I decided that I'd find a way to do both at the same time. I am proud to share the projects of the past while weaving them into a something new altogether entirely. I took past projects and mended and morphed and evolved them into a form that felt right for right now. For me.
It started with a childhood nickname and a video of my favorite spot and transitioned into the tale of self discovery and release through learned talent. I hope to share this site and this side of myself to as many that are willing to join. But at the end of it all, I made this because it made me feel good and that's the most important thing to me.
Thank you again. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
